If you want immersive audio isolation for intense gym sessions or commutes, choose Jectse Earbuds; if you need full situational awareness for outdoor running and swimming, choose FJX Bone Conduction Headphones. Both devices are built specifically to handle the rigors of a sports workout, but they take fundamentally different approaches to how sound reaches your ears and how you interact with the world around you. One relies on sealing your ear canal to block out noise, while the other leaves your ears completely open to let the environment in. Understanding this core difference is the only way to make the right choice without wasting money on a device that fights against your specific training needs.
• Jectse Earbuds: Delivers solid stereo sound and stable Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity inside a compact case, but lacks active noise cancellation and requires removing the case to charge the buds. Best for users who prioritize music immersion and battery life during short-to-moderate workouts.
• FJX Bone Conduction Headphones: Offers an open-ear design with IP68 waterproofing for swimming and 32GB internal storage for offline listening, but sacrifices deep bass and traditional audio fidelity. Best for runners, swimmers, and seniors who need to hear traffic and surroundings while exercising.
The Jectse Earbuds are designed for the athlete who wants their music to be the primary focus. By utilizing Bluetooth 5.1 technology, these earbuds ensure a fast and stable connection to your phone or tablet, supporting standard audio protocols for clear calls and stereo music playback. The design philosophy here is about containment; the earbuds fit ergonomically into your ear canal to create a seal that isolates you from the outside world. This makes them ideal for environments where you need to concentrate on your rhythm, whether you are lifting weights, cycling indoors, or navigating a busy city street where you want to drown out the sirens.
Durability is a key selling point for this model, boasting an IPX7 waterproof rating. This means the earbuds can withstand heavy sweat or rain without suffering damage, making them a reliable companion for high-intensity interval training or rainy morning jogs. However, there is a crucial limitation to note regarding the charging case itself; while the earbuds are waterproof, the charging compartment is not. You must keep the case dry, which adds a small layer of maintenance if you plan to train in wet conditions. The battery life offers a practical 4 hours of talk time per charge, supported by a 1200mAh charging case that provides up to 24 hours of total usage. This is sufficient for most daily workouts, though it falls short compared to some premium long-haul options.
These earbuds are perfect for someone looking for in ear headphones for seniors who still want a secure fit during light exercise, or anyone seeking best sweatproof true wireless earbuds for seniors who value ease of use over advanced features. The transmission distance of approximately 10 meters gives you plenty of freedom to move away from your device without losing signal. If your priority is getting good sound quality without breaking the bank and you don't mind the trade-off of blocking out ambient noise, these are a strong contender. They are simple, functional, and built to handle the moisture of a tough workout routine.

The FJX Bone Conduction Headphones represent a complete shift in philosophy, prioritizing safety and versatility over traditional audio isolation. Instead of sitting inside your ear canal, these headphones rest on your cheekbones, using vibrations to transmit sound directly to your inner ear. This open-ear design ensures you remain fully aware of your surroundings, which is critical for outdoor activities like road running, trail hiking, or group cycling where hearing approaching vehicles or wildlife is a matter of safety. The lack of earplugs also prevents the "occlusion effect," where your own voice sounds muffled, and eliminates the discomfort of pressure buildup in the ear canal during long sessions.
What sets this model apart is its ability to function as a standalone MP3 player thanks to its built-in 32GB memory card. This feature allows you to leave your smartphone behind entirely. You can simply load your favorite tracks onto the device via USB and hit the track. This is particularly useful for swimmers, as the unit carries an IP68 waterproof rating, meaning it is fully submersible and dust-proof. While Bluetooth signals do not travel well underwater, switching to MP3 mode ensures you can listen to music while snorkeling, swimming laps, or fishing without fear of water damage. The device is constructed from ultra-light titanium and weighs only 29 grams, ensuring it stays snug behind your ears even during vigorous movement without causing fatigue or swelling.
This product is the ultimate transparency mode wireless headset for small ears, as the open design accommodates various head shapes without pinching or pressure points. It is also an excellent choice for those who find traditional earbuds uncomfortable due to ear sensitivity or existing hearing issues. The Bluetooth 5.3 chip provides a robust connection when paired with your mobile device, allowing for quick pairing with iOS and Android phones. With a 4-hour average battery life and a 1.5-hour charge time, it keeps up with most training blocks. The inclusion of specialized earplugs suggests that while the main driver is bone conduction, users can opt for added isolation if needed, though the core experience remains open.
• Best for Swimming and Water Sports → FJX Bone Conduction Headphones. Only the FJX model achieves a true IP68 rating that handles full submersion, whereas the Jectse earbuds are limited to sweat and rain resistance (IPX7) and cannot go underwater.
• Best for Music Immersion and Bass Response → Jectse Earbuds. Traditional drivers inside the ear canal provide a more conventional, immersive listening experience with better low-end frequencies than the vibration-based output of bone conduction.
• Best for Situational Awareness and Safety → FJX Bone Conduction Headphones. The open-ear design allows you to hear traffic, coaches, and nature clearly, a non-negotiable feature for road runners and cyclists.
• Best Battery Life and Portability → Jectse Earbuds. The charging case offers a massive 24-hour total runtime, far exceeding the single 4-hour session of the FJX, making it better for all-day wear without frequent recharging.
• Best for Offline Listening Without a Phone → FJX Bone Conduction Headphones. The 32GB internal storage lets you carry thousands of songs without needing a connected smartphone, whereas Jectse requires a constant Bluetooth link.
• Best for Comfort During Long Sessions → FJX Bone Conduction Headphones. At just 29 grams with no pressure inside the ear canal, the titanium build is lighter and less intrusive than the in-ear design of the Jectse.
• Best for Call Clarity in Windy Conditions → Jectse Earbuds. Sealed earbuds generally offer better microphone isolation from wind noise compared to open designs, though both support hands-free calling.
• Best Value for Versatility → FJX Bone Conduction Headphones. You get two devices in one (Bluetooth headset + MP3 player) plus superior waterproofing, offering more utility for diverse sports.
In my opinion, the FJX Bone Conduction Headphones are the superior choice for serious athletes who train outdoors, especially for those engaged in running and swimming. The combination of IP68 waterproofing, 32GB internal storage, and the safety of an open-ear design creates a tool that is genuinely versatile across multiple environments. While the Jectse Earbuds are excellent for gym work and casual listening, they cannot match the safety features or the independence from a phone that the FJX offers. For a dedicated sports workout where you might encounter water, traffic, or long distances without access to a charger, the FJX provides a level of functionality and peace of mind that sealed earbuds simply cannot deliver.
Only the FJX Bone Conduction Headphones are suitable for swimming with an IP68 rating that handles full submersion. The Jectse Earbuds are IPX7 rated, meaning they resist sweat and rain but should not be submerged in water.
Yes, the FJX model includes 32GB of internal memory, allowing you to store and play music directly from the headphones in MP3 mode. The Jectse Earbuds require a continuous Bluetooth connection to a paired device to play audio.
The FJX design is often praised as a transparency mode wireless headset for small ears because it does not insert into the ear canal, avoiding discomfort or falling out. The Jectse earbuds rely on an in-ear fit which may feel tight or insecure for some users with smaller anatomy.
Both devices offer roughly 4 hours of playback on a single charge. However, the Jectse Earbuds come with a charging case that extends total usage to 24 hours, while the FJX relies solely on its internal battery until plugged in again.
