Thank you to all interested applicants. The Advanced Placement Program is now in its second successful year!

*Applications will be accepted for the 2018/2019 school year in the Fall of 2017*

"The Advanced Placement Program (AP) enables students to pursue [university] studies while in high school. Based on their performance, on rigorous AP Exams, students can earn credit, advanced placement, or both for [university]."

The Advanced Placement Program is an international course, written by university professors, which allows students to write an exam in a specific area. Successful completion of the exams earns them credits or advanced standing at most universities in Canada and abroad.

In addition to earning an Ontario Grade 12 university-level credit, students will have the opportunity to earn a first year university credit. Students enrolled in the program will be well-prepared to meet the challenges of university courses.

In keeping with the Jean Vanier CHS vision, the addition of the AP Program will allow students to continue their commitment to academic excellence, while fostering a positive attitude toward church and society.

Our school is committed to nurturing the students' faith, education, and physical well-being. With the addition of the AP Program, our school will offer students a variety of learning experiences that serve to improve their critical thinking and collaboration skills, which includes a blended learning classroom.

Jean Vanier CHS is a safe learning environment that welcomes all students. In addition to offering academic excellence, students can participate in activities which will enhance their learning experiences. There are a variety of clubs, councils, and athletics for ours students to join.

Our goal is to offer eligible students an enhanced learning experience that not only focuses on academics, but also builds character.
