Farmers Market
The Hayward Farmers Market is open Saturday mornings from 9 AM to 1 PM, year round, rain or shine, at Hayward City Hall Plaza, along Watkins starting at B Street, and running down to the library.
The market is known for its diversity of fruits and vegetables. This solid market keeps getting better with gourmet specialties, fresh fish and fresh cut flowers in abundance. Besides the produce, the market also features fresh baked bread, cheesecakes, fresh honey, nuts, hot sauces and other items, such as jewelry, that change from week to week.
There are food vendors as well, serving up BBQ, Asian bowls and other dishes. There is always some sort of musical entertainment and often information booths about services in the local community.
The Hayward Farmers Market is a great place to meet and greet your neighbors while also picking up the very best in local produce, flowers and other quality items.
