Birdhouses

Good Fences Make Good Neighbors – Robert Frost

These beautiful birdhouses are all made by hand by a Hayward homeowner. His whole front yard is full of wonderful birdhouses, making it just one of many unique homes in our fair city. When you live in a neighborhood that has been around for a while, you get a variety of structures that you just don’t find in newer developments with homeowner associations. The same area of the street boasts a home with a pair of lions at the gate and a cottage that looks like it could be right out of a fairy tale.

Walking in the older neighborhoods in the Hayward hills on a warm summer evening after dark is almost like being in Carmel - no sidewalks, lots of twinkling lights, and homes that have gone through many additions and renovations. There is a wonderful charm and warm feeling of community that come along with the territory.
