Many songs in various languages have been based on the "Ah! vous dirai-je, maman" melody. In English, "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star", the "Alphabet Song" and "Baa, Baa, Black Sheep" are all based on this melody.

Twelve Variations on "Ah vous dirai-je, Maman", K. 265/300e, is a piano composition by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, composed when he was around 25 years old (1781 or 1782). This piece consists of twelve variations on the French folk song "Ah! vous dirai-je, maman". The French melody first appeared in 1761, and has been used for many children's songs, such as "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star", "Baa, Baa, Black Sheep", and the "Alphabet Song".[1]

Only very few piano works have become as popular as this theme with twelve variations. It already caught on soon after Mozart's death, as witnessed by the numerous handwritten copies and prints. Although nothing is known with any certainty regarding its genesis, we can now conclusively date "Ah, vous dirai-je Maman" to 1781. At that time Mozart wanted to make his way as a prominent piano teacher in Vienna. His variations still prove to be excellent teaching material. Our edition has been completely revised and also offers an extremely informative preface by the Mozart specialist Ulrich Konrad.

How is this helpful? Well, it shows you the anagrams of dirai scrambled in different ways and helps you recognize the set of letters more easily. It will help you the next time these letters, D I R A I come up in a word scramble game.

I was wondering about this: There is a song "je le vous dirai" - it seems to go against the rules about the order as outlined above. Is there a reason for this? Does it mean something different? Would this just be chalked up to creative freedom to make something sound better because it's a song?

Moreover this tune inspired many classic composers such as Mozart (Twelve Variations on Ah vous dirai-je maman), Haydn (Surprise Symphony, 2nd movement), Franz Liszt (Album Leaf), or Johann Christoph Friedrich Bach (Variations on Ah vous dirai-je maman).
