This update is a cumulative update that includes the security updates and the non-security updates for Windows RT 8.1, Windows 8.1, and Windows Server 2012 R2 that were released before March 2014. In addition to previous updates, it includes features such as improved Internet Explorer 11 compatibility for enterprise applications, usability improvements, extended mobile device management, and improved hardware support.

Important All future security and nonsecurity updates for Windows RT 8.1, Windows 8.1, and Windows Server 2012 R2 require this update to be installed. We recommend that you install this update on your Windows RT 8.1-based, Windows 8.1-based, or Windows Server 2012 R2-based computer in order to receive continued future updates.

The MSDN and VLSC updated ISOs do not contain the complete set of fixes that are offered from Windows Update. Therefore, Windows Update and Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) will offer update 2919355 again to the computers that are deployed by using the images in these ISOs. This is expected and does not trigger the full reinstallation of the Windows RT 8.1, Windows 8.1, and Windows Server 2012 R2 update, but only one smaller component of it. The rest of the update will not be downloaded or reinstalled.

Windows Update may offer this update again even when the computer already has this update installed. This is expected and intended to resolve a Windows Update client issue. Windows Update installs only package 2959977. This resolves the Windows Update clients issue instead of all the packages included in this update.

Open Windows Update by swiping in from the right edge of the screen (or, if you are using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen and move the mouse pointer up), tap or click Settings, tap or click Change PC settings, and then tap or click Update and recovery.

I've been having issues since last Friday with Reader DC auto-update installing the 64-bit version on my Server 2016 Citrix pool. It's causing multiple issues (Acrobat intermittently won't open, email preview doesn't work, protected mode error on startup). The 32-bit version works without issue.

The fix for me was to install the 32-bit version which works without issue, the next problem i faced however is the update service continually deployed 64-bit version 21.007.20091 which caused continual problems for 3 separate customers. The only way i've found to resolve this is to disable Acrobat update scheduled task, disable Acrobat update Windows service,

Added HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\FeatureLockDown - dword 32bit bUpdater 0.

hi - which I had found this post about 2 week ago..spent 2 days digging to find that it was the 64 bit version that was causing the issue..thanks for the post..does this reg edit force the updates to select the 32 bit or are you manually running the udpates? thank you

In my environment, I have a package x32 client using a TRUSTED version of the Acrobat Reader, & the reg key change will then stop any future updates being applied to Reader, via the daily sheduled task in Windows.

Gauranja, we have not found that this is the case, we had one of our servers receive an update last night and it downloaded the 64bit version. This has been a nightmare for us. Adobe PLEASE FIX ASAP!....I will use the workaround posted above thank you for posting

If you have Windows Vista, there are three methods to determine whether you are running a 32-bit or a 64-bit version. Follow the instructions below to check a version of Windows you are installing into.

And then press the key.

3. Then click "System Information" in the "Programs" list.

4. When "System Summary" is selected in the navigation pane, the operating system is displayed as follows:

Server Core is a minimal server installation option for computers running on the Windows Server 2008 operating system or later. Server Core provides a low-maintenance server environment with limited functionality. Server Core requires Windows Server 2008 or later.

Note: configure now enables DCO build by default on FreeBSD and Linux. On Linux this brings in a new default dependency for libnl-genl (for Linux distributions that are too old to have a suitable version of the library, use "configure --disable-dco")

Note that OpenVPN 2.5.x is in "Old Stable Support" status (see SupportedVersions). This usually means that we do not provide updated Windows Installers anymore, even for security fixes. Since this release fixes several issues specific to the Windows platform we decided to provide installers anyway. This does not change the support status of 2.5.x branch. We might not provide security updates for issues found in the future. We recommend that everyone switch to the 2.6.x versions of installers as soon as possible.

The OpenVPN community project team is proud to release OpenVPN 2.5.6. This is mostly a bugfix release including one security fix ("Disallow multiple deferred authentication plug-ins.", CVE: 2022-0547). The I605 installers include OpenVPN GUI with a bug fix, as well as updated OpenSSL (1.1.1o).

The OpenVPN community project team is proud to release OpenVPN 2.5.5. The most notable changes are Windows-related: use of CFG Spectre-mitigations in MSVC builds, bringing back of OpenSSL config loading and several build fixes. More details are available in Changes.rst.

The OpenVPN community project team is proud to release OpenVPN 2.5.4. This release include a number of fixes and small improvements. One of the fixes is to password prompting on windows console when stderr redirection is in use - this breaks 2.5.x on Win11/ARM, and might also break on Win11/amd64. Windows executable and libraries are now built natively on Windows using MSVC, not cross-compiled on Linux as with earlier 2.5 releases. Windows installers include updated OpenSSL and new OpenVPN GUI. The latter includes several improvements, the most important of which is the ability to import profiles from URLs where available. Installer version I602 fixes loading of pkcs11 files on Windows. Installer version I603 fixes a bug in the version number as seen by Windows (was 2.5..4, not 2.5.4). Installer I604 fixes some small Windows issues.

The OpenVPN community project team is proud to release OpenVPN 2.5.3. Besides a number of small improvements and bug fixes, this release fixes a possible security issue with OpenSSL config autoloading on Windows (CVE-2021-3606). Updated OpenVPN GUI is also included in Windows installers.

The OpenVPN community project team is proud to release OpenVPN 2.5.2. It fixes two related security vulnerabilities (CVE-2020-15078) which under very specific circumstances allow tricking a server using delayed authentication (plugin or management) into returning a PUSH_REPLY before the AUTH_FAILED message, which can possibly be used to gather information about a VPN setup. In combination with "--auth-gen-token" or a user-specific token auth solution it can be possible to get access to a VPN with an otherwise-invalid account. OpenVPN 2.5.2 also includes other bug fixes and improvements. Updated OpenSSL and OpenVPN GUI are included in Windows installers.

Our MSI installer do not currently support the Windows ARM64 platform. You need to use our NSI-based snapshot installers from here. We recommend using the latest installer that matches one of these patterns:

The OpenVPN community project team is proud to release OpenVPN 2.4.12, the final release in the 2.4.x series. This is mostly a bugfix release including one security fix ("Disallow multiple deferred authentication plug-ins.", CVE: 2022-0547).

The OpenVPN community project team is proud to release OpenVPN 2.4.11. This release also includes other bug fixes and improvements. The I602 Windows installers fix a possible security issue with OpenSSL config autoloading on Windows (CVE-2021-3606). Updated OpenSSL and OpenVPN GUI are included in Windows installers.

Please note that LibreSSL is not a supported crypto backend. We accept patches and we do test on OpenBSD 6.0 which comes with LibreSSL, but if newer versions of LibreSSL break API compatibility we do not take responsibility to fix that.

Also note that Windows installers have been built with NSIS version that has been patched against several NSIS installer code execution and privilege escalation problems. Based on our testing, though, older Windows versions such as Windows 7 might not benefit from these fixes. We thus strongly encourage you to always move NSIS installers to a non-user-writeable location before running them. 152ee80cbc
