Sobre mi
Estudié Computación Científica en la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (Perú) y realicé mi doctorado en Matemática Aplicada en la Universidad de São Paulo (Brasil). Desde el inicio de mi carrera, me he interesado en las matemáticas aplicadas a otras ciencias, como la física y la biología, y tengo una gran afinidad por la computación. Me sorprende mucho como construcciones abstractas provenientes de la matemática puedan volverse tangibles a través de la computación. También encuentro fascinante que la matemática ofrezca un entorno para construir esquemas subjacentes que abarcan diferentes aplicaciones, y que la humanidad converga hacia una sociedad integrada a la computación.
Me interesa también fomentar el estudio de las matemáticas en otros, por lo que dedico esfuerzos a la divulgación y a la promoción de oportunidades educativas adicionales a los estudios de pregrado.
About Me
I studied Scientific Computing at the National University of San Marcos (Peru) and completed my PhD in Applied Mathematics at the University of São Paulo (Brazil). From the beginning of my career, I have been interested in mathematics applied to other sciences, such as physics and biology, and I have a strong affinity for computing. I am fascinated by how abstract constructs from mathematics can become tangible through computation. I also find it remarkable that mathematics provides a framework for constructing underlying schemes that encompass various applications and that humanity is moving toward an increasingly computation-integrated society.
I am also dedicated to encouraging others to pursue mathematics, which is why I invest efforts in outreach and promoting educational opportunities beyond undergraduate studies.
