Men and women both experience mental health and emotional difficulties. However, some of these present very differently between the two and in my observation there are specific issues women struggle with more then men and vice versa. Often men and women have different treatment objectives, goals, and expectations of counseling. It is important to make this distinction as to provide counseling that is individualized and effective.
I have experience working with a variety of issues and women specific issues including but not limited to:
- Motherhood/Parenting and Self Identity
- Postpartum Depression
- Religion Dissonance
- Bipolar Disorder
- Self Esteem
- Trauma and PTSD
