The City of Chicago Math League is sponsored by the Chicago Board of Education to encourage high school students to challenge themselves mathematically, and the CJML is the 6th-8th grade equivalent.
Each year, many schools from throughout the city compete over three contests (two "regular" contests plus a citywide finals) to determine the city champion and to competefor team and individual trophies.
每年至少有三十間學校競爭
Each contest consists of a 20 question exam which must be completed in 50 minutes. Contests are administered Saturday mornings at the Whitney Young location.
Competition is divided into several topic areas. More information can be found here: CJML.
At each regional meet, ribbons are awarded to the top students in each subject in Division A and in Division B. Team trophies will be awarded at the end of the season.
You can track competition results from current and previous seasons here: CJML Statistics.
