ABOUT ME
Hi! I am Jubert, a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disease Center of the College of Medicine, Inje University Paik Hospital in Busan, South Korea, where I also finished my Ph.D. in Medicine under the supervision of Professor Jin Han. I mainly focus on the molecular mechanisms involved in the progression of metabolic diseases and improving efficiency of current therapeutic strategies by identifying novel targets.
I am also currently an Associate Professorial Lecturer at the Department of Biology of De La Salle University in Manila and the current adviser for Pinoy Iskolars sa Korea (PIKO, Filipino Scholars in Korea), an organization for Filipino students and academics pursuing and conducting their studies and research in South Korea. I enjoy reading long-form articles from the New Yorker and The Atlantic while experiencing the prolific café culture of South Korea.
