Meet Mrs. Batla

Life is for living,

Love is for giving, &

Kindness is for sharing!

I am originally from southern Indiana where I grew up with two younger sisters, and lots of family close by. My sister and I ventured to attend college at Southwestern Adventist University in the fall of 1995 where I obtained my degree in education, and met my husband. I've taught in the field of education for 21 years and earned my masters in School Counseling from Lamar University in 2016. I have been married to the love of my life, Brent Batla for over 23 years now. We moved to the Hill Country a year & a half ago after he obtained his new position as the fire chief in Horseshoe Bay. I have two precious German Shepherds, Panzer and Arwen, who bring energy and joy to our lives everyday. I am also a very proud aunt of two nephews and three nieces. I love being a part of the Johnson City ISD educational team and am looking forward to meeting all of your children and beginning my second year as their school counselor! Last school year was full of challenges that we had never faced before in the school setting, but we made it through together as a staff, student body, and community and I believe we will continue to be stonger and more united because of it.
