Zac Covington is a North Carolina native drummer, composer/arranger, session musician, videographer, video producer, and kind soul. His musical nature comes from his family who have a long history of being musicians. Zac has been a sought-after drummer for many genres including pop, funk, jazz, singer-songwriter, folk, rock, and everything in-between. He spends his working hours playing gigs, working on recording projects (either drumming, engineering, mixing, or all three!) and doing video work for both himself and bands he plays with, as well as other musical artists and corporate clients. When working on recording projects, he works out of his shared studio space called Black Rabbit Audio, with a control room, live room, and iso room to get any combination of sounds. Aside from playing, Zac loves to teach. He has been teaching the West Forsyth High School drumline (his alma mater) since 2016 years, and has done other marching band clinics/teaching at other local high schools. He also enjoys teaching private students in his studio, or over the internet, including his new online studio, The Better Drummer! When Zac is not playing drums or doing his dishes, he enjoys cooking new foods, hanging out with his partner Ally, and playing tennis. He is willing to take on new challengers, but be prepared for his 115 mph serve and competitive nature.
