The WHIRLEX Instruments
The Tornado Research Vehicle 1, Otherwise referred to as TRV is my primary method for deploying sensors into required targets.
TRV is equipped with a mobile mesonet, and a set of computers and probes.
Tornado Environment Recording Tool (TERT) is the most vital instrument WHIRLEX has. The design is a modifed version of Tim Samaras' HITPR. It is designed to survive being hit by a tornado directly.
The WhirlNET probe is essentially a probe that gets hammered into the ground. It is used to record data and video of the inside of hail cores and RFD regions.
