Overview

Welcome to my website for LTEC 5200: New Technologies of Instruction.

Here, you will find three lessons that explore working memory, learning, and multitasking.

To get started choose a lesson below:

Discussions about each lesson will happen on Twitter using custom hashtags #, so be sure you check out the Twitter Resources page.

All lessons were developed as Roadmaps with the Collabrify LessonBuilder software.

Each lesson is designed as a Roadmap that scaffolds the learning process by chunking the complex topic of Multitasking and Working Memory into smaller, guided units. Each lesson features several nodes connected by directional arrows.

Learning Content Nodes

All content nodes are coded with the circle shape. Content includes

• Videos coded in blue with the word "WATCH"
• Presentations/articles coded in red with the word "READ"
• Podcasts coded in green with the word "LISTEN"

Activities Nodes

All activities requiring input from students are coded as black squares. Though each node uses a noun/verb to describe the activity (e.g. "QUIZ," "COLLABORATE," "EXPERIMENT"), connectors are coded with the word "Input."

Social Nodes

Each roadmap features a purple diamond that links to a discussion on Twitter (as detailed in the 'Welcome' section above).
