I am Javier Picorel, a former PhD student at Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL).
My research focuses on increasing the efficiency of server systems for datacenters to support sustainable growth of important cloud services in the end of semiconductor scaling. I aim to maximize the compute density and minimize the energy footprint of server systems through better system integration, the use of emerging memory technologies, and specialization of various system components for prevalent applications.
My current focus is:
I was affiliated during my studies with the Parallel Systems Architecture Lab (PARSA) under the supervision of Professor Babak Falsafi.
NEW: I am currently on the job market. My CV is available upon request.
