Javad Khodadoust

PhD candidate, Tecnológico de Monterrey.

I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science, specializing in Machine Learning Models, at Tecnológico de Monterrey. Under the guidance of Dr. Raúl Monroy and Dr. Miguel Angel Medina-Pérez, I have been engaged in cutting-edge research within this field.

In my research, I had the privilege of collaborating with Dr. Octavio Loyola-González, an experience that not only enriched my academic journey but also significantly contributed to the advancement of our research endeavors.

Furthermore, I recently completed an enriching 11-month tenure as a visiting scholar at the Mahidol-Bremen Medical Informatics Research Unit (MIRU). Within the Machine Vision and Information Transfer (MVIT) research lab, under the mentorship of Dr. Worapan Kusakunniran, I delved into various aspects of deep learning methodologies, further honing my expertise in this rapidly evolving field.

Moreover, my collaboration with the esteemed members of the Kasetsart Signal and Image Processing Laboratory (KSIP Lab) provided me with valuable insights into fingerprint enhancement and quality estimation techniques leveraging frequency domain analysis. Working under the guidance of Dr. Vutipong Areekul, I engaged in research projects aimed at enhancing fingerprint images and assessing their quality using advanced frequency domain approaches.

Prior to my doctoral studies, I earned both my M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Computer Engineering in Iran.
