- Leadership: Strong and effective leadership with 7 years of school/district administrator experience.
- Experience: 17 years of public school experience in three highly effective and successful school districts. I have experience that is a few years ahead of the current state of Highland Christian regarding curriculum, instruction, and pedagogy.
- Developing Relationships: Foundation must be established through relationship-oriented, innovative leadership practices in order to create a culture of learning that will prepare students for their future.
- Innovative: I am a certified Google Innovator promoting student voice in our District, I have started implementing flexible learning spaces, brain breaks, and STEM curriculum to our District.
- Technology: Instructional Technology knowledge and understanding regarding teaching and learning for teachers and effective tools for student creation in a one-to-one environment. Utilizing technology that amplifies great instructional pedagogy and that can be adapted to the individual needs of the learner.
- Coaching and Modeling: Professional development planning and preparation for a variety of sized audiences (from grade level teams to full district audience).
- Communication: I currently run the communications department for our school district and am an award-winning contributor to the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA).
- Evaluation of Teacher Performance: Teacher evaluation experience and knowledge on coaching teachers to move from satisfactory to excellent.
- Representing our School/District: Speaking at a variety of state and national conferences sharing the work I am accomplishing in our District.
- Telling our Story: Managing social media and web site to highlight the great work and stories representing our District including creating our annual report mailed to all stakeholders.
