About Me
I am certified to teach Social Studies in grades 7 through 12 and spent my first year teaching at Hambrick Middle School in Aldine ISD where I had the privilege of teaching 8th grade US History. I am now honored to say I am a Cypress Ranch Mustang teaching US Government and Economics. To count myself among these incredible educators is truly humbling. I can only sum it up best by saying simply, "It is a great day to be a Mustang!"
My first year of teaching came amidst the pandemic and I am grateful for all the incredible experiences and challenges that has come with it. I learned more in one year of teaching than I could have imagined. Now, armed with that and the support of so many enthusiastic, skilled, and passionate colleagues, I am ready to truly own this opportunity.
In my previous life I enjoyed success in corporate communications with particular focus on training and retention. I have been charged with writing training manuals, providing career development and new-employee training for large and medium size companies. For the last 11 years I have worked for a global professional services company serving the oil, gas, and petrochemicals industries.
I earned my bachelor's degree from the University of Houston Main Campus in with a major in History and a minor in Religious Studies. I received a Master's in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University and am currently working towards a Master's in History with a concentration in American history.
Married to my best friend whom I met freshman year in high school, we share a 21 year old honors graduate of UT, an incoming junior in high school, and our youngest child starts Kindergarten this year. I'm a passionate father, husband, student, musician, and storyteller and could not be more enthusiastic about becoming an educator.
