Dear Reader,

I am a first generation Cambodian American. My parents are survivors of the Cambodian genocide that lasted from 1975 to 1979. I started this blog at age 18 to share stories and create awareness for my community of Cambodian Americans in the United States of America. We have unique experiences as immigrants fleeing a war-torn country. Living in America hasn't always been easy. I have had the privilege to continue my education with the help of basketball. It has been a huge blessing for me, and I thank you for supporting my basketball journey. I am currently working towards my Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. Media has granted me opportunities to showcase my love for basketball, photography, writing, and art. All have brought me amazing memories. This blog has been my positive outlet as well as sports. More importantly, I aspire to inspire.

Best,

Jasmine Kong
