My career began unexpectedly in San Francisco. After a long day of searching for work, I came across an art gallery I almost didn’t have the courage to enter. When I finally stepped inside, I was immediately drawn in by the work on the walls and introduced myself to the owner, asking if there were any opportunities available.
Although there wasn’t a position at the time, she invited me to volunteer at an upcoming art walk. I showed up the following week...and then kept showing up. Over time, that persistence turned into a role supporting two gallery spaces.
I started with gallery sitting, guiding visitors through exhibitions and assisting with art installations. As I grew into the role, I transitioned into marketing and media coordination, eventually balancing responsibilities across gallery operations, exhibition support, and digital content. This experience laid the foundation for my work in creative production and audience engagement.
After nearly four years at The Drawing Room, I was ready to transition into my desired industry: music. I applied for an internship with an independent artist based in the Netherlands and relocated four months later.
Building on my background in gallery marketing, I continued creating social media content while expanding into music promotion. I supported release campaigns, wrote press materials, and pitched to media outlets to secure coverage. I also contributed to the planning and execution of live events.
Through this experience, I developed a strong ability to adapt quickly, think on my feet, and manage projects in fast-paced, evolving environments.
