I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. I hold a PhD in Economics from Arizona State University, an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and IIM Lucknow, and an undergraduate degree in Engineering from IIT Roorkee.
My research interests are in environmental and energy economics, urban economics, and applied industrial organization. My research combines structural and reduced-form econometric methods with policy applications. I delve into household amenity valuation, residential sorting, and firm location choices, focusing on pollution, wildfires, electricity, and water access.
Before my Ph.D., I worked with organizations such as J-PAL South Asia, UChicago EPIC, and the World Bank.
