Hello there, 👋

I am currently enrolled in my second semester of the Building Renovation Technology Program at George Brown college in Toronto. I have gained my technical skills through four years of high school woodshop, one and half years working in a professional wood shop setting, and many years of hobbyist carpentry and woodworking projects.

During my time working at Creative Visual Solutions in Oakville, I specialized in programming and operating three and five-axis CNC routers used to create everything from cabinets and full kitchens, to specialty product displays and creative installments. As a CNC operator & Junior Carpenter, my position entailed maintaining a clean workspace, daily inventory of materials, and regular maintenance of shop equipment and machinery. I am experienced with working with sheets goods such as melamine, plywood, MDF and exotic materials like polyurethane foam, PVC, acrylic and polycarbonate. I am confident in using various cabinet-shop equipment including horizontal panel saws, cabinet saws, automatic edgebanders, and have been trained in the assembly of precision-fit cabinetry and various finishing techniques including laminating, edgebanding, HVLP painting and more.

In addition to these technical skills, I enjoy teaching others about woodworking and fabrication. During my time in high school I planned and supervised multiple introductory woodworking workshops for elementary aged students. My involvement with my school's FIRST Robotics team as Captain taught me about project management, resource allocation, collaboration and time management. I now Mentor two FRC teams in Oakville teaching high school aged students about design, manufacturing and woodworking techniques.
