At first I thought the song used a tribal pacific island feel, The song uses what I feel are tribal south american, specifically the amazonia region analogies to have this all play out. The song opens with panpipes which are VERY prominent and important in this region. The shrunken head reference is also a practice that is unique to this region.The talk of Volcanoes is essentially him telling the girl he doesn't want to hear her crap anymore and tells to just to tell it to the volcano as she falls into it.The line about gods is a reference all the tribal gods in that region, as they are typically viewed as violent and vengeful gods that desire human sacrifices.
