From a young age, I have known and longed to be part of something beautiful. Something sincere.
In first grade teacher asked from us: "What do u want to be when you grow up?" While everybody else were answering, I was so anxious and repeated one pharas in my head. When my turn arrived, I bursted out very confidently:
"I want to be a mosaic".
And today that's what I am, a mosaic. This portfolio is a little sneak peak into my scattered art world.
Exhibitions:
2016 personal exhibition "Kritseldused"/"Doodlings"
2018 personal exhibition "Audentes Fortuna iuvat"
2018 personal exhibition "Delectus"
2022 Pallas leather department joint exhibition "Luues lugu"/"Creating the story"
I am a fourth-year student at the Pallas University of Applied Sciences (Estonia), where I'm studying leather design.
Leather intrigues me because of the opportunities. Thanks to the material characteristics, everything is possible. Fictional ideas from very different aries can become long-lasting products.
Although ceramics and leather products' characteristics are very different, the process is somewhat similar. Both- the leather and clay- are printable with plants, moldable with water, and very long-lasting in the end.
Exhibitions in 2018 were only for paintings. My medium is acrylic colors.
After starting my studies in Pallas I started to appreciate truly acrylics' extensive characteristics. With the same colors it's possible to have very intensive and realistic paintings but at the same time on leather, very sensitive ornaments.
In High School I had honor to paint my first ever mural in Raasiku Community Center.
Doodlings - colorful or graphic, have always been my way of breathing. It's my way to visualize my emotions and dreams. Thoughts, I cannot find words to describe.
I love that drawings can be strong on their own but can also be part of some other medium design, where they start to compliment the other medium without losing their independence.
