The Vision

The goal of this project is to link a raspberry pi to a radio-remote in order to make it internet connected and controllable from anywhere. Eventually, simple python scripts will have the ability to turn on and off lights using electromagnetic relays wired between the buttons on an existing remote. The relays, when triggered, would work very similar to the button being pressed, giving it the functionality to be triggered with a script. Plugging in the relays to the the GPIO ports on the raspberry pi would allow the control of any wall outlet devices with an internet portal with virtual switches that can be labeled and linked to each outlet.
