The General Incorporated Association JAPAN DENIM JEANS Industry Promotion Association was established with the aim of promoting the sustainable development of Japan's denim and jeans industry. Japan's denim technology and culture, which are proud of worldwide, have been nurtured over many years by the hands of countless people. However, the environment surrounding the industry is currently undergoing significant changes, and it faces new challenges such as labor shortages, succession of technology, and international competition. Our association engages in activities to connect people and knowledge from an overarching perspective of the entire industry and to pass on value to the next generation, focusing on education, research, regional collaboration, and international outreach. We aim for companies, educational institutions, government, and individuals to collaborate beyond boundaries and create the future of 'Japan Denim Jeans' together.

一般社団法人 JAPAN DENIM JEANS 産業振興協会は、日本のデニム・ジーンズ産業の持続的発展を目的として設立されました。世界に誇る日本のデニム技術と文化は、長年にわたり多くの人々の手によって培われてきました。しかし現在、産業を取り巻く環境は大きく変化し、人材不足や技術継承、国際競争といった新たな課題に直面しています。本協会は、教育・研究・産地連携・国際発信を軸に、産業全体を俯瞰する立場から人と知をつなぎ、次世代へと価値を継承するための活動を行っています。企業・教育機関・行政・個人が垣根を越えて連携し、「Japan Denim Jeans」の未来をともに創造していくことを目指します。

Japan's denim and jeans industry, while possessing world-class technical skills and spirit, faces numerous challenges, including a shortage of skilled personnel, the succession of techniques, and changes in the international environment. Through my involvement in education, research, and collaboration with production regions, I have strongly felt the need for a presence that can "oversee the entire industry and connect people and knowledge." The Japan Denim Jeans Industry Promotion Association, a general incorporated association, is based in Kojima, Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, a denim and jeans production area representative of Japan. Without being biased toward any specific position or interest, it aims to serve as a foundation that supports the future of Japan's denim and jeans industry through human resource development, the succession of technology and culture, and outreach both domestically and internationally. I hope that the activities of this association will become a source of hope for the next generation of talent and lead to the sustainable development of the industry.

日本のデニム・ジーンズ産業は、世界に誇る技術力と精神性を有しながらも、人材不足や技術継承、国際環境の変化など、多くの課題に直面しています。私はこれまで、教育・研究・産地連携の現場に携わる中で、「産業全体を俯瞰し、人と知をつなぐ存在」の必要性を強く感じてきました。一般社団法人 JAPAN DENIM JEANS 産業振興協会は、日本を代表するデニム・ジーンズ産地である岡山県倉敷市児島を拠点としつつ、特定の立場や利益に偏ることなく、人材育成、技術・文化の継承、国内外への発信を通じて、日本のデニム・ジーンズ産業の未来を支える基盤となることを目指します。本協会の活動が、次世代を担う人材の希望となり、産業の持続的発展につながることを願っております。
