Film Transfer (Telecine)

8mm & Super 8mm Film Transfers

For 8mm and Super 8mm film for the highest quality I use frame-by-frame capture system. My projector is a MovieStuff Workprinter XP. I have set up my system to capture the film images directly off the projector gate in HD 1080p.

16mm Film Transfers

For 16mm telecine I use a transfer projector also made by MovieStuff. It too captures a single frame at a time. The frames are then combined after digitizing using special software.

9.5mm Film Transfer

I have a 1927 Pathe' Baby hand-cranked projector. I capture the film images as they are projected onto a screen or to a special mirror and ground glass unit.
