I am a tenured Assistant Professor in the Department of Econometrics and Data Science at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

My research is centered on statistical learning methods, with a particular emphasis on dimensionality reduction, hierarchical variable clustering, and variable selection. I am especially interested in challenges arising in high-dimensional, low-sample-size (“p ≫ n”) settings. In addition, I develop statistical software to facilitate the application of these methods in empirical research.
