Dr. Jan Masell (né Müller)
Research Interests
I'm a theoretical physicist in the field of magnetism. I like to discuss everything but my main topics of research are:
Magnetic skyrmions
Other non-collinear magnetic phases
Novel textures in 3d
Manipulation of magnetization by electric currents, fields, temperature, ...
Transport phenomena in magnetic materials
Concepts for spintronic devices
Development of simulations (GPU and CPU, writing C++, CUDA, Go (for MuMax3), and Mathematica, simulating micromagnetic and atomistic spin dynamics, using sLLG, minimizers, and MonteCarlo, with high accuracy/efficiency)
