The cheering of "Holy crap a ballad already!" goes on for like a minute and Alex checks his imaginary watch and sits down. Someone also screams "I love you!". Master notes, Closing Night! Lots of applause and loud audience including lots of crying from me behind the camera. The first act I have to work around a head on the right side of the screen. I do my best to work around it and you don't miss much because of it. Act 2 was perfect with very little obstruction. some shakiness due to me constantly crying. Overall a great capture of closing.

Jung Sung Hwa is like an uncle style beetlejuice, he really lets himself play around and get played by Hong Na Hyun. His facial expressions are so wild and stylised, it's hard to believe you can make those kinds of faces on a human's. Yuria and Laa Chang Yong are such a cute couple, they're so soft and so tender, I would like to serve them Lydia's adoption papers myself. Shin young sook is comedy queen, she's amazing! I would like to have a cocktail with her sometime.

The washout has mostly been fixed in editing as it's impossible to fully correct. The recording has more zooms than I would like to prevent further washout. Fortunately, this production is minimalistic and performance focused so it doesn't hinder the overall experience of the show. The recording is mainly filmed in close ups and mediums. A head is sometimes visible in the wide shots of the musical numbers. Recording includes the curtain call and marquee.

Video picks up again before Big Fun, and is heavily obstructed and blindshot up until You're Welcome where I start to aim and zoom a lot more. From here the video is shot very close in order to attempt to navigate the difficult obstruction. Act 2 is filmed much better, with slightly less obstruction and following the action well. It 90% sure that Lasanga was chosen as the person Ms Fleming was having an affair with.

Notes: Very good phone boot of this incredible show. All action captured, although some of the darker scenes are a little hard to make out, but that's less than 8% of the show, I'd say. Honestly, you would not know anyone here was an understudy. They were all exceptional. The most reactive audience I've ever seen in NYC. I swear at least half of the audience was in a production of the show at some point in their lives with how much they were dancing and lip-syncing along. So much applause and laughter. Bonus that it's Skylar Astin, cuz C'mon, he's adorable in everything.

A railing blocks the very front left corner of the stage, but only the actors' legs are unseen. Telly is audio only; the video for act two begins when the house lights go down and Lavender takes the stage. It's filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans.

Notes: Beautiful 4K partial capture of Mary Beth's first performance in her temporary stint as Gretchen and Samuel's third Damian at this venue. Released as 4K (13GB) or HD (5GB) (I only have HD). This video starts at the scene before Someone Gets Hurt and Act Two starts right during Stop. It's filmed the rear right mezzanine with a mix of wides, mediums, and closeups. There are no obstructions except for a railing in the first few minutes of the video that disappears when I move seats. There is little to no wandering; however, there is one 20 second dropout during I See Stars as people started leaving the show early. The sound is excellent. Includes an obstructed curtain call and playbill scans.

Video is shot in between some heads that really only obstruct the action when it takes place at the very front of the stage and that i work around to the best of my ability, some wandering and a few short dropouts (mostly during transition scenes) as well as a bit of spotlight washout in the wider shows. You can clearly tell this was their first performance at this venue, issues with mics, transitions being a bit wonky, tracks coming in late and even the burn book not being in its place resulting in Mrs George improvising the scene happened during this performance, nonetheless im glad i caught all their opening night mishaps.

These are my personal theories but I think each of the slimes represent the stages of grief. The doll slime is death, the sugar cloud slime is denial, the ukraine slime is anger, the ocean slime is bargaining, the french slime is depression and the spaceman slime is acceptance. It took me way too long to figure out how since the doll slime doesn’t have a head, jane's headless doll is headless because karnak gave her the head of the doll. I also find it really cool that they are constantly changing songs and lines. Sometimes it's to be more relevant. For example the line in this video "Stay home and watch a will smith movie" is often changed to be more relevant with the time. The opening number is also constantly being changed. I have audios of all the opening numbers that have like different melodys and stuff. Also constance's favourite ride being the cyclone is an easter egg for her realising her life (the cyclone) was amazing.

They all got standing ovations after their songs. Maiya breaks down crying after IDNYL and Natalie can't sing the end of HOS through her tears. Notes: Video starts in the middle of Ex-Wives (but still includes all their introductions!) due to neglect of hitting the record button. It was shot with a no-fear attitude and it shows--they action is followed for the almost the entirety of the show and there are zooms of each queen during her song. The camera loved this show and there is very little to no washout. There is occasional obstruction from a bar across the bottom that couldn't be shot around, but it doesn't block the action. There's an occasional obstruction on the bottom left that clears up after No Way, and almost any time queens were downstage on the right side of the screen, I couldn't find them and/or a head obstructed them but I did my best. Besides those parts, it is mostly clear and focused and each solo is almost totally unobstructed. I tried to focus on Nicole and Courtney as much as possible and just zoomed on them when I couldn't find the focus onstage, so it's pretty Nicole-heavy.

A pity because it's a strong performance by the original cast during the show's ascent. Sometimes mislabeled as September 1, 2004; Taye was only in the show from December 22 2003 - January 18 2004 while Norbert Leo Butz was out due to a back injury. The audio circulating as January 8th, 2004 is ripped from this video, although the January 8th audio is better quality.

Notes: Fantastic HD capture of the Tour's electric Reopening Night. It's filmed in 16:9 with a mix of wides, mediums, and closeups from the rear left orchestra. In addition to the occasion of the tour's reopening, this is also the first full length video released of the full 2020 cast and the first full tour video filmed from the orchestra in years. Talia is a fabulous Elphie and brings a powerful take to the role alongside Allison's perfectly hilarious performance as Glinda. There are no real obstructions: some heads appear at the bottom of the screen during wides, though it doesn't affect more than the actor's legs for the most part and dropouts are mostly limited to applause breaks and early in each Act during latecomer seating. One annoying latecomer can be slightly heard talking throughout the show (even during songs). The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans.
