KP02 PVU

2002 Dennis Dart Pointer SLF

The Beginning...

KP02 PVU was first registered in July 2002. It was brand new to Armchair Passenger Transport, Brentford that same year. KP02 PVU was purchased along with the rest of the batch to provide 'Low floor access" to users who require it.

Changing Hands...

When Armchair went bust in 2006, everything was brought by Metroline (ComfortDelGro) apart from the coach side of Armchair. KP02 PVU did a brief spell with Metroline before going into storage. After spending just over a year in storage it was sold to Abellio London.

Retirement...

In 2017, KP02 PVU was finally stood down from public service. This ended 15 years of constand hard life on the streets of London. KP02 PVU got sold to a private buyer (possibly a driver who work for Abellio) for preservation. It attended many events during this time. The most notable events that it attended was Showbus 2018 and BUSES festival 2019. However....preservation didn't last long...

Becoming Famous...

During 2021/2022 KP02PVU was listed for sale and it was purchased by a Youtuber called 'Simon Says'. Simon reviewed the bus on his youtube channel (please see the video to left) and gave an insight into the vehicle. He was using it to ferry his friends to and from the pub, etc.

Retirement Again...

During the COVID pandemic there was bucketfulls of uncertainity and this uncertainity spread to KP02 PVU. KP02 PVU was put up for sold by Simon Says to a private dealer who later listed it on eBay.

In September 2023, J&M Preservations purchased the vehicle for undisclossed figure so that it's future was safe.

Moving Home...

After we handed over the funds and signed paperwork. We prepared it to be moved back to J&M Preservations HQ. We have to say a massive thank you again to Hammond Recovery for the professional pickup and delivery of KP02 PVU. Also for tackling the 230 mile round trip!

What is next for KP02 PVU?

Well, we certainly have not forgotten about this vehicle. We are currently in the process of getting a MOT booked in for this. Fingers crossed it passes with flying colours!

We have booked KP02 PVU into the following events so far (this is subject to change);
