Jana Abou Hjaily

Welcome to my academic website ! I am a 4th-year PhD student in the Department of Economics at the University Pittsburgh. 

I study questions at the intersection of health and labor economics. My current work examines how policies and environments, such as public transit access and physician training contexts, shape health care utilization, patient outcomes, and economic well-being, particularly for underserved communities. 

I hold an M.A in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh, an M.A in Economics from the American University of Beirut and a B.S in Finance from the Lebanese American University.
