Firebase (if applicable): Used for anonymous crash reporting to improve app stability.

User-Initiated Sharing You can share your measurement data via:

PDF reports (shared through your chosen app).
Coordinate links (when you tap the share button).
Export features (only when you explicitly choose to export).

4. Data Storage & Security

Local Storage All your measurement data is stored locally on your device using:

SQLite database (encrypted at the OS level).
Internal app storage (inaccessible to other apps).
No cloud storage is used by default.

Data is stored in your device's secure internal storage.
No unencrypted data transmission.
App permissions follow the principle of least privilege.
Regular security updates and patches.

Data Retention

Data remains on your device until you delete it.
Uninstalling the app removes all local data.
Backup data on Google Drive is retained until you delete it.

View all your saved measurements in the 'Saved Records' screen.
Export data to PDF, CSV, or backup files.
Share individual records or entire datasets.

Modify

Edit land names, descriptions, and notes.
Update area unit preferences.
Change theme and language settings.

Delete

Delete individual land records.
Clear all data via Settings > Clear All Data.
Uninstall the app to remove all local data.

Opt-Out

Location Access: Can be disabled in device settings (compass/measurement features will be limited).
Camera Access: Can be disabled (photo features will be unavailable).
Google Drive Backup: Can be disabled (data stays local only).

6. App Permissions Explained

Jamin Mapni requests the following permissions to function correctly:

Location (GPS)

Required for: Land measurement, compass navigation.
When used: Only when you actively use measurement or compass features.
Can be denied: Yes, but core features won't work.

Camera

Required for: Capturing field photos.
When used: Only when you tap the camera button.
Can be denied: Yes, measurement will work without photos.

Storage

Required for: Saving PDF reports, photos, and backups.
When used: When generating reports or taking photos.
Can be denied: Yes, but you can't save files externally.

Internet (Optional)

Required for: Google Maps tiles, Google Drive backup.
When used: Map display and backup features.
Can be denied: Yes, app works offline with cached maps.

Sensors (Accelerometer, Magnetometer)

Required for: Compass feature.
When used: Only in the compass screen.

7. Children's Privacy

Jamin Mapni is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will delete such information from our records.
