James Waller

I'm an Assistant Professor of Psychology and Applied Statistics at Gallaudet University, an ASL-English bilingual  university for the deaf in Washington, DC.

In my teaching, I primarily am responsible for teaching statistics and research methods across disciplines, including psychology, data science, and human-computer interaction.

Broadly, my research falls under three areas:

depiction in sign language discourse and development

language development and child language use

language technologies for deaf/hh people
