Tend is designed with privacy at its core. We minimize unnecessary data collection, do not sell your personal data, and store your most personal information on your device by default.
Mood check-ins (one-tap mood selection and optional notes)
Daily reflections (weekly reflection entries)
Identity statements you choose
Daily tendings and their completion status
Routine and ideal-day configurations
This data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly enable cloud sync (if available).
Account information (if you create an account): email address, display name
Device information: device model, Android version, app version (used to ensure compatibility and improve the app)
Crash and error reports: technical logs that help us identify and fix bugs
AI-generated suggestion metadata: when you interact with AI-generated nudges, we may log that a suggestion was shown, accepted, or dismissed to improve suggestion quality. AI-generated suggestions are clearly identified in the app.

Camera or microphone access
Financial or payment information
Precise device identifiers beyond what is necessary for app operation
On-device data (mood, reflections, tendings) is used exclusively to power your personal experience within the app. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or third-party sharing.
Account and device data is used to maintain your account, ensure app stability, and deliver updates.
Crash reports are used to diagnose and fix technical issues.
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not share your mood check-ins, reflections, or identity statements with third parties.
If you invite an accountability partner, you may choose to share a simple daily reflection with them. This sharing is private, limited to the two of you, and does not include feeds, likes, comments, or public visibility.
We may use third-party services for crash reporting (e.g., Firebase Crashlytics or similar) that receive anonymized technical data. These providers are contractually bound to use the data only for the purpose we specify.
On-device data is retained until you delete it or uninstall the app.
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us at hr.desk.anthonyblake@gmail.com
Crash reports are retained for a limited period (up to 12 months) and then deleted.
Tend is designed to work offline. Your mood check-ins, tendings, and reflections can be created and viewed without an internet connection. Data is only synced (if you enable sync) when you are online.
Data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted in transit (TLS).
On-device data is stored using Android's standard local storage mechanisms.
We do not require unnecessary permissions.
Tend is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

Delete your account and associated data
