In 'Demon' we meet a new character in the story of 'Circle', literally the inner demon of the central character, who is constantly pulling him back to his vices even though he has just professed on the previous 2 songs to be aware of how destructive & empty they are making his life. The Demon lures him once again into reckless abandon & self righteous excess, proclaiming at the end of the song that 'I always win'. The song makes reference to 'crashing Angels' which ties in with the following song on the album 'Gone' and also the melody from the chorus of 'Inertia' which will demonstrate later in the album how each of these lapses in to the will of his inner demon led him 'in steps so little' to hijacking his own life.

Musically, the song is a mid tempo heavy Alt Rock song with gang vocals on the chorus and a double time middle 8 Riff section.
