James Vickery
Hi! I'm a financial economist studying financial intermediation, real estate finance and household finance, with a focus on mortgage and MBS markets. In addition to my academic research I've also contributed to a range of Federal Reserve policy initiatives, including serving as Deputy Chair of the Model Oversight Group overseeing the Fed's bank supervisory stress tests.
I'm a Senior Economic Advisor and Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. I'm also an associate editor at the Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Financial Intermediation, Journal of Money, Credit and Banking and Review of Finance. I was previously an economist at the New York Fed. I've also taught at Wharton, NYU Stern and Princeton, primarily in the area of real estate finance.
