Jalon Payton is a freelance AEA Stage Manager originally from Baltimore, MD. He is currently traveling around the country as the 2nd ASM for the first national tour of Some Like it Hot. His other credits include; American Players Theatre (The Brothers Size, The Royale, A Raisin in the Sun, Anton's Shorts) Arena Stage (Swept Away [East Coast Premiere, Pre-Broadway Engagement], Tempestuous Elements [World Premiere], The High Ground [World Premiere]), Everyman Theatre (A Midsummer Night's Dream, Ken Ludwig's Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery), Baltimore Center Stage (The Swindlers: A Tru-ish Tall Tale [World Premiere], The Folks at Home [World Premiere]), Imagination Stage (10 Seconds), and Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival (The Color Purple). He has also Stage Managed Play Readings and workshops with Arena Stage, Taffety Punk Theatre, Mosaic Theatre, & Roundhouse Theatre. Jalon is a 2024 recipient of the Charlie Blackwell Symposium Scholarship. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland Baltimore County & the Community College of Baltimore County.
