Antonio M. Jaime-Castillo
Welcome to my webpage! I am a Professor (Catedrático) of Political Science at the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED). Before that, I was an Associate Professor at the Universidad de Granada and the Universidad de Málaga.
My research lies at the intersection of comparative political economy and political behavior, with a particular focus on how institutions, organizations, and socialization processes shape citizens’ preferences toward redistribution, taxation, public policies, and the role of the state. I am interested in how political and collective actors transmit norms and preferences, and how these mechanisms interact with broader structural factors such as inequality and political regimes. I am also interested in quantitative methods for political research to analyze political behavior and institutional effects.
In my spare time, I enjoy endurance sports, particularly cycling, running, and skiing.
