Welcome to my website!
I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu. My research lies at the intersection of economics, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and financial markets. I leverage machine learning, econometrics, optimization, and computational methods to extract insights from large-scale financial and economic data, with the objective of improving investment decisions, risk management, and public policy.
Before joining IIM Jammu, I worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (UNESCO-MGIEP), where I contributed to the Inclusive Wealth Report. Earlier, I served as a Data Analyst with UNESCO-MGIEP's Rethinking Curriculum initiative and began my professional career as a Software Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services in the Computer Networks domain. These experiences shaped my interdisciplinary approach to solving complex problems using data and technology.
I earned my Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow. My current research focuses on AI-driven financial market analytics, machine learning for asset pricing and portfolio optimization, quantitative finance, econometrics, business analytics, and computational economics. I am particularly interested in developing intelligent decision-support systems by integrating economic theory with artificial intelligence, large language models, predictive analytics, and optimization techniques.
My work combines rigorous quantitative methods with real-world applications in financial markets, business strategy, and public policy. I believe that the future of economics lies in harnessing AI and data science to generate actionable insights from increasingly complex and high-dimensional data.
Outside academia, I enjoy gym workouts, running, following cricket, reading about emerging technologies and leadership, and listening to music. I am passionate about continuous learning and exploring how advances in artificial intelligence can transform research, education, and decision-making.
Thank you for visiting my website. I invite you to explore my research, publications, teaching, and ongoing projects. I am always interested in collaborating on research at the intersection of economics, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and financial markets.
