I am a post-doctoral researcher in the laboratory of Prof. Achillefs Kapanidis in the University of Oxford at Department of Physics. I am working in the field of single-molecule biophysics. Currently, I am working on establishing a method to sequence DNA strands containing smaller number of bases using single molecule fluorescence. This method can be applied in various fields including the likes of transcription, replication etc. Previously, during my doctoral research in Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Mohali, under the supervision of Dr. Sabyasachi Rakshit I have worked on determining the molecular level orchestration in mammalian hearing. Specifically, how force sensing of protein complex assist in the process of hearing.
Major areas of research: Single-molecule biophysics, Transcription, Protein-protein interaction, signal transduction, protein allostery, protein aggregation, enzyme kinetics.
