I have a trouble with bundle.

After slicing and sending g-code to printer I got error message on the printer LCD "Model size information not found"

Firmware of printer is latest and slicer 2.5.0

Ciao, ho appena comprato una Flashforge ADV4, ma non riesco a configurare prusaslicer, siccome mi sembra di aver capito che tu ci sei riuscito, ti chiederi cortesemente come fare. Grazie mille in anticipo

One interesting this about the printer is that it comes with its own slicing software called FlashPrint. This seems to work quite well, slicing all the models I threw at it and sending them to the printer. However, I was curious if it was possible to use the printer with the Ultimaker Cura slicer, which has some more advanced features and is supported more widely by the community.

The information you give is very useful, thank you. I would like to ask you if you know what the maximum speed limit is for the Z axis of the Adventurer 3. In the Flashprint I see G1 Z 0.20 F420 while in Cura G1 Z 0.20 F600. I also tried the Prusaslicer and the speed in generated g_code for the Z axis is F4800 !!!. However, there is no Z axis speed adjustment in any Slicer. So I wonder if the firmware takes care of the max speed?

if i switch the gcode flavour, will that break anything? i read someone trying to get this to work with pursa slicer had used a different flavor, but we dont have that choice, i dont remember the name but one person mentioned reprap, i havent tried becuase im pretty sure marlin will work.

What would be good to know is if it needs the header, but it does not need to be valid / specifically defined for the file / printer (in which case we can just add a generic one to the top), or if it contains some kind of specific information designed to lock out non-FF slicers.

Hello. does anyone use a super slicer for flashforge adventurer 4? if there is an opportunity to send the settings, otherwise I can not configure it myself. or can you recommend who uses which slicer.

Hi there, Ive been using astroprint with all my i3 printers (different manufacturers), but now I own a FF Adventurer 3, and Im wondering if someone has a good slicer settings for sharing (and maybe printer settings as well as gcode for start/end).

Thanks in advance!

No, Im not using Astroprint as a direct printer connection (no AstroBox). I use astroprint as a Management system of all my models (and some printers connected with octoprint).

But I just want to know if someone as the slicer profile for the Adventurer 3 so I can do the slicing like I do for all my other 3d printers.

Cura works to some extent, Simplify3D lacks some bottom layer patterns that I would like to use. With my old cheap Monoprice Select Mini V2 PrusaSlicer or Slic3r were no problem. But for the replacement of the FlashPrint slicer for the Adventurer 3 I could not come to a solution. The Adventurer 3 starts heating up, and when the temperature has reached its value the print head directly marches to the home position - without any printing.

These start and end g-codes work (with minor modifications) also with Cura and are derived from analyzing the .g-files generated by FlashPrint slicer. How can I add .g-code files of FlashPrint and PrusaSlicer here?

Ive been using flashprint for a long while but after getting a new printer that slicer just wansnt cutting it anymore. So i dowloaded cura. But I can not find my printer in the program. I can not find my other one either a flashforge adventurer 3. Doi have to make a custom one because I looked it up on youtube and google and found lots of profiles and tips for my printer on cura so people are using it here

Here is a list of slicer software. With the browser software you can also create a file on the ipad.

Also, the interface of the advanced settings screen on the slicer could be improved by making it a bit easier to read. In terms of the set-up, an auto-leveling step before each print is recommended for a faster set-up process. This will compensate for inconsistencies in the bed shape, which could prompt the user to use shims to adjust the corners.

Nonetheless, throughout testing, the machine printed models reliably, each time without fail. The slicer was user-friendly with a basic or advanced settings mode, to suit both beginners and experts. The software also did not include any unnecessary features. Though the Adventurer 3 may never compete with industrial 3D printers in terms of build size, true to its claims the machine is perfectly suitable in a desktop environment, be it a classroom or studio. It also operates at a suitable, low volume, and its price once again makes it accessible for most to purchase.

FlashPrint is a beginner-friendly slicer developped in-house by Flashforge for use with its line of 3D printers, featuring a 3D viewer, scaling and cutting abilities, and multiple printer related configuration options. It also sports an expert mode for more experienced users.

The Adventurer 5M Pro that was sent to me was initially missing a few pieces (no glue stick, no 0.6mm nozzle, and the USB thumb drive was blank), which meant that after unboxing the printer, it sat idle while I waited for Flashforge to send me the slicer software.

The Flashforge Adventurer 5M Pro ships with a copy of FlashPrint 5, the latest release of the company's flagship slicer software. This latest version includes a clean interface that includes Dark Mode, a much-appreciated feature for those who prefer to avoid having a screen that doubles as a light source. FlashPrint 5 is a fully-featured slicer software, allowing users to upload a file (.stl, .obj, .3mf, and others are all accepted), rotate, scale, generate supports, and even perform cuts to split a model into pieces.

Flashforge has also included OrcaSlicer 1.6.6 as a compatible slicer for the Adventurer 5M Pro. When this printer was first shipped to me, this was the only slicer included and FlashPrint 5 was still not compatible with the Adventurer 5M Pro. This software offers significantly more advanced features, at the expense of a potentially steeper learning curve and more complicated UI. As of the writing of this article, OrcaSlicer is only mentioned once on the Flashforge Adventurer 5M Pro page, while FlashPrint is shown in multiple screenshots.

Again, this is a surprising oversight that could have easily been addressed during QA testing, a recurring theme with the Adventurer 5M Pro software. By using an open-source slicer and providing only a single profile, it feels like Flashforge is simply passing the profile development effort to the user instead of doing the work internally. This translates to a less capable software and a poor experience for users looking for plug-and-play functionality. 5376163bf9
