I am an Assistant Professor in the College of Economics at Sogang University in Seoul, South Korea,
and an Associate Fellow at the Climate Impact Lab.
My research sits at the intersection of environmental economics, climate change, and urban economics, focusing on how environmental risks, regulation, and infrastructure translate into measurable damages, health outcomes, and economic welfare.
I earned my Ph.D. in Agricultural and Resource Economics from UC Berkeley. Prior to that, I completed my B.A. in Economics (double major in Spanish) and an M.A. in International Studies from Seoul National University.
I was selected as a Beijer Young Scholar by the Beijer Institute of Ecological Economics at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and received a 2017 Fulbright Scholarship sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
