How It All Started
Growing up I was always into art; painting, drawing, photography, you name it! So, it was only natural that when I saw other people customizing shoes back in 2020 that I thought “I could do that”. I started off by making custom track spikes for my brother which I then posted on my instagram story thinking that “painting would be a fun hobby”.
From there people started to message me and ask me to paint shoes for them, so I thought “this will be a good side hustle”. After orders continued to come in I found myself thinking “maybe this is a real business”. But I still didn't really believe that painting shoes could be a full time gig because… how is that even a real job? But God had bigger plans for me.
In December of 2021, I had gone back home for Christmas and wasn't planning on doing any painting over the holiday. My dad (former Cowboys QB coach) got a text from Dak Prescott asking if I could paint some shoes for him and his friends as a Christmas gift. Which, of course, I said yes to!
Shortly after starting the Christmas project, he also asked if I would be able to paint some of his cleats to wear for the games. So, every week after that we would talk about what color he wanted for his cleats for that game, I would paint them, and deliver them back to him or the equipment staff for gameday.
As you can imagine, working with Dak really helped to take my business to new heights and in 2022 I was able to take on Jada From The Block as my full time job.
