Jack Rogers

I am Research Associate in Mathematical Sciences at the University of Manchester, studying algebraic geometry.

I completed my PhD in Pure Mathematics at the University of Manchester in 2021. My supervisor was Hendrik Süß. My thesis was titled "K-stability of complexity one G-varieties".

My research concerns the existence of Kähler-Einstein metrics on Fano varieties equipped with the action of a reductive algebraic group, via the study of K-stability of these varieties. This topic combines algebraic geometry with influences from complex geometry, representation theory of algebraic groups, convex combinatorics and geometric invariant theory.
