Dr. Jack Li has engaged in Information Technology for more than two decades. He is a lecturer, researcher, and engineer in ICT. He taught many groups of students at Deakin University, Victoria University, Charles Sturt University, Holmesglen Institute, and Box Hill Institute in Melbourne.
He co-founded a couple of companies, serving as a program coordinator and a research leader. He is also an international education consultant.
His research is focused on the Internet of things (IoT), edge computing, cybersecurity, computing education. He won the IPMA Award in 2005 for global excellence in an ICT project, which was the first time for a Chinese company to win the Award. His student Juan Andrade won the Second Prize in 2017 Huawei Global ICT Competition in Australia.
