Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping, in essence, is a caricature of the Music Industry. The movie pokes fun at many celebrities and music groups as well as the "Popular" music genre itself. It on the surface is a parody of the "popstar biopic" trend Hollywood was doing in the early and mid 2010's making fun of the industry the creators are themselves in, however on a deeper level I feel the movie is commentary on how some musicians in the Music Industry live in their own bubbles detached from regular society. This commentary supports the argument that the less musicians are grounded into reality, the less they should be relatable to general populace and in turn should push people away from iconizing them.
