Josep Serrano-Serrat

I am a PhD Candidate in Social Sciences at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M). During the Michaelmas and Hilary terms (2023-2024), I was visiting the Department of Politics and International Relations at the University of Oxford. From April to July, I was visiting IPERG at Universitat de Barcelona.

My research interests are in the field of political economy. In this area, I am mainly concerned with the determinants of political preferences. In my dissertation, I develop a novel framework that examines how skills and labor market context shape first- and second-dimension political preferences. 

My work has been accepted at the Journal of Politics, World Politics, and the European Sociological Review.
