環境マネジメント全国学生協議会

環境マネジメント全国学生協議会の目的は環境マネジメントに関する日本の高等教育機関の学生間の交流を促進し、学生の活動を通じて持続可能な社会の構築に貢献することです。

我々の先輩たちは2007年より「全国環境ISO学生大会」を毎年開催し、全国で環境活動を行う学生たちが集まり、情報交換と交流を続けてきました。2017年より、ISOに関わらず、もっと広く環境活動に携わる学生たちが集まる会へと進化すべく、「環境マネジメント全国学生大会」に名称が変更されました。この活動を将来にわたって継続していくことがまず重要です。

また、近年、SDGsが世界共通語となり、持続可能な社会に向けて世界中が取り組む中で、我々の活動もさらに活性化していく必要があります。海外においても、イギリス、アメリカ、カナダ、中国、韓国、タイなどにおいて環境マネジメント活動に取り組む学生団体や連携組織が活発に活動しています。海外の大学・学生とも情報交換や交流をすることで、日本の学生団体の取り組みを発信するとともに、海外の学生の取り組みから学ぶことも重要と考えます。

このように、環境マネジメントに関する日本の学生の間の交流を継続するとともに、海外の大学・学生団体との交流を進めていくため、国内における環境マネジメント関連の学生団体の連携組織として、環境マネジメント全国学生協議会の設立を提案するに至りました。

協議会では、上記の目的のために大きく分けて３つの事業を行います。①環境マネジメント全国学生大会の円滑化、②海外の環境マネジメントに関する学生との交流、③協議会公式ウェブサイトの運営を通じた活動内容の広報です。

これらの事業をつうじて、我が国における環境マネジメントに関わる学生の活動の振興、及び海外の学生の活動との連携を促進することによって、持続可能な社会の構築に貢献すべく、環境マネジメント全国学生協議会の設立を提案致します。

Prospects for establishment of J-SEMN

The purpose of Japan Student Environmental Management Network (J-SEMN) is to promote environmental management exchanges amongst students of Japanese higher education institutions and to contribute to estavlishing a sustainable society through these student activities. Since 2007, we have held the Japan Environmental ISO Student Convention every year. Students who work for environmental activities every all over Japan have met for one or two days to exchange information and ideas. From 2017, in order to become an organization in which students are working for environmental activities ever more widely, we changed the convention's name to the Japan Student Environmental Management Convention. It is essential to continue with this annual ISO student convention into the foreseeable future.

Also, as the term "Sustainable Development Goals" (SDGs) has become a universal concept in recent yeas, where the whole world is engaged in environmental activities, it is necessary to develop our activities further. Student groups and associated organizations abroad are working positively for environmental management causes (including the UK, the US, Canada, China, South Korea, and Thailang). We think it is essential to introduce the current activities of student groups in Japan andto learn from those similar activities in other countries. By meeting and commuting with one another at the Japan Student Environmental Management Convention, we can therefore share pieces of knowledge, experiences, skills, and expertise with university students both from within Japan and from other countries.

In this way, nationwide environmental management as a collaborative organization of student environmental groups was established in Japan. This organization proposed the establishment of a national student council in order to continue exchanges between Japanese students involved in environmental management, and to promote exchanges with overseas universities and student organizations.

In the network, there are three main activities to achieve the fore-mentioned goals. (1) Facillitating the Japan Student Environmental Management Network (J-SEMN) , (2) Exchange with students involved in overseas environmental management, and (3) Publicity of activities through the Network's officials website.

Through these activities, the Japan Student Environmental Management Network (J-SEMN) will contribute to the creation of a sustainable society by promoting cooperation among overseas students in regards to these activities.
