Welcome to my site :)
My name is Joju Odeyemi. My area of specialty is in Quantitative and Computational modelling. In simple tems, I study and solve complex mathematical equations using a numerical approach. I am a few months from completing a PhD at the University of Nottingham and a recipient of the EPSRC Wave Phenomena in Complex Media scholarship. I am also a member of George Green Institute for Electromagnetic Research Group.
I have carried out research in the past 3 years which has primarily focused on the computational efficiency improvements of a class of Maxwell’s differential equations solver algorithms. See the "PhD Research" page for more details on my publications and the work carried out. I am a core contributor to this project however I have had the opportunity of collaborating with some incredibly brilliant academics and scientists including my supervisors Professor Phillip Sewell, Professor Ana Vukovic, Professor Trevor Benson. ↓
L-R : Prof. T.Benson, Myself, Prof. P.Sewell
Alongside my work in Electromagnetics, my other interests include mathematical/numerical modelling and applying computational techniques for optimisation and predictive purposes.
I recently joined WaveOptics as a Numerical Optimisation Engineer where my role is focused on applying and studying various numerical approaches to achieve an improved design of nanostructure diffraction gratings. As an optimisation scientist I study the effectiveness of quantitative methods (such as Neural Networks, Bayesian Optimisation, Evolutionary Optimisation) in solving many of the design challenges encountered in the R&D phase.
In my spare time I love to code, to doodle, to cook, spend time with family and listen to good music!!
Please feel free to contact me! I'll love to hear from you.
